MEET THE HOSTS
Abby and Emma Chen are identical twins, seasoned pianists, and student journalists with over a decade of musical experience. In the 2023–2024 season, they became the first student members in the history of the Bohemians, founded in 1907. Together, they serve as co-hosts of The Boho Beat, a podcast featuring interviews with artists from the Bohemians’ concert seasons. As editors-in-chief of their school newspaper and advocates for the AAPI community and climate action, they are passionate about the power of storytelling. With a deep interest in digital humanities and podcasting, they hope this project will help make classical music more accessible and engaging by bringing listeners closer to the people behind the music—not just the performances.
